Bishops Too Good For Bosch

High flying Bishops travelled to Rondebosch this weekend and made short work of a Rondebosch side that has not fired on all cylinders this season. Bishops have played some very attractive rugby and it came as no suprise that they ran out 38-10 victors.

Despite enjoy far more of the ball from good line out and scrum possession Rondebosch failed to make use of this advantage and they were repeatedly let themselves down. In fact they came very close to scoring on a number of occasions, using the pick and drive to good effect  but this one dimensional way of playing was over used and Bishops simply waited patiently for the mistakes to appear.

Whenever they got the ball Bishops ran it with clinical ability passing the ball through the hands with seamless ease and their scrumhalf and flyhalf combination in Dillon Leyds and Guy Whitfield were sublime at times.

Tries  came from Liam Kleinsmith, Guy Whitfield, Paul Kuiper, Liam Petersen and Willem Gresse whilst Tim Swiel, who must be one of the most accurate kickers in schools rugby slotted home virtually every attempt he was given.

Although Rondebosch were relentless in their attempts to break through the Bishops defenders it never happened until deep into the second half when close to the Bishops line they took a quick tap penalty and big Nicolas Roebeck crashed over for a try. However it was too little too late and Bishops were good value for their 38-10 win.
