Gutsy DHS Beaten By Glenwood!

DHS played with great determination in the second half and actually managed to outscore their neighbours Glenwood but the damage was done in the first half and it was too great a mountain for the 'Horseflies' to climb.

It was Glenwood's Old Boys Day and in front of a capacity crowd the Berea side were quickly into their stride going 7-0 up in the early minutes of the match thanks to an Alwyn Janse van Vuuren try and a conversion by captain Zeilinga.

For most of the 1st half DHS were able to keep the KZN leaders at bay as both teams traded penalty shots with both teams successful with 3 attempts at the poles. DHS would have been happy to go into the break 16-9 but a breath taking move by Glenwood saw Ben Axter-Burrett running in a well worked try which Zeilinga converted.

Although DHS fought well in the 2nd half and outscored their hosts they did let Dean Moolman go over for Glenwood's second try and the victory was sealed 31-18 in what turned out to be a closer scoreline than what many expected.
